How do I buy a plate?
Choose a plate on this site and message us on WhatsApp or LINE with the plate number. Our sales team confirms it is available and explains the next steps. You then pay a deposit and we arrange the handover.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer to a Thai bank account. You pay a deposit first. Our sales team will tell you the deposit amount and when the rest is due.
How do I receive the plate?
We meet you at the Chatuchak DLT office (Department of Land Transport) to hand over the plate, or we deliver to your home in Bangkok.
How long does it take?
Graphic auction plates are usually quick: after the deposit you can receive the plate right away. Classic white plates take about one month or more.
Is the transfer legal?
Yes. The plate is transferred at the Department of Land Transport (DLT) through the normal official process, and we handle the paperwork for you.
What if the transfer cannot be completed?
You get a full refund, or you can choose another plate instead.
Can a foreigner buy a plate?
Usually yes, if you live in Thailand on a non-immigrant visa such as Non-B, Non-O or a retirement visa. Tourist visa holders cannot register a car. See our foreigner guide for the documents.
Can I put the plate on a company car?
Usually yes. The car and plate can be registered under a Thai company. Message us and we will confirm the documents.
My car is registered outside Bangkok. Can I still buy?
Message us first. A plate goes on a car registered in the province shown on the plate, so we will check your case before you pay.
Can you find a number that is not on your website?
Often, yes. Send us the number you want on WhatsApp or LINE and we will check what is available.
Which language can I use?
You can write to us in English on WhatsApp or LINE. Our sales team replies in English with help from a translation tool. You can also write in Thai.
Are the US dollar prices exact?
No. Prices are set in Thai Baht and you pay in Thai Baht. The US dollar figure is only a guide and changes with the exchange rate.
